“I have known Dick Chelten since 1995, when I became an employee of his employee benefits insurance agency. He had integrity above what I expected from an insurance agent and was fair and honest with his clients and his employees. He was a great person to work for and with and because of him and how he ran his business, I always felt I was a valuable part of the team. During my time with him, I volunteered 2-3 times a year with SkillsUSA, a professional organization for high school and college students in technical, skilled, and service occupational programs. I have been involved with SkillsUSA since high school and Dick was very supportive of my connection with students. As a result of my involvement, in 2006, I became the SkillsUSA Michigan State Director, directly in charge of the schools and members in Michigan.
